Why we grade offerings

Because "good" means something different to everyone.

Not every celebration wants the same thing — and not every budget stretches the same way. Grading lets a photographer be honest about what six hours looks like versus what a two-day production looks like, and lets you choose without guessing.

Honesty over inflation

A clear grade tells you exactly what you get — no upsell surprises, no hidden downgrades on the day of the event.

Choice with real clarity

Compare like-for-like across providers, because a "premium" package is defined against the same shape, not spun into something else.

Room for every budget

Standard is a proud tier — not a downgrade — designed so a smaller celebration still gets a beautiful, professional experience.

Room for the truly custom

Bespoke exists for the one-of-a-kind celebration — bring your vision, and the right providers design against it from a blank page.

The grades explained

Standard, premium, luxury, bespoke — plainly.

Each provider publishes their offerings across up to four grades. You see exactly what’s included at each level — hours of coverage, team size, deliverables, turnaround — so "luxury" from one photographer means the same shape as "luxury" from another, only their style differs.

  • Standard — a professional, beautifully executed core offering
  • Premium — extended coverage, deeper team, richer deliverables
  • Luxury — a fuller production with white-glove care and finish
  • Bespoke — designed from a blank page to your specific vision
  • Every grade shows exactly what’s included before you enquire

How booking a provider works

Clear steps, honest money, no surprises.

From the first tap to the delivered memory, every stage is visible — with prices shown upfront and payments protected by a deposit-and-balance flow.

  1. Step 01

    01

Pick an offering and a grade

Browse the marketplace, open a provider, and choose the offering at the grade that fits — with the full inclusions, coverage, and deliverables shown plainly.

  2. Step 02

    02

    Share your event details

Tell the provider the date, venue, guest count, and anything unusual about the day. Attach it to an existing LoveSync event if you already have one.

  3. Step 03

    03

Receive a quote or fixed price

Some grades have a fixed price on the marketplace. Others come back as a quote — usually within two business days — with any custom pricing shown clearly.

  4. Step 04

    04

    Pay the deposit to confirm

A deposit — usually thirty percent — secures your date. The remaining balance is held for later. Every cent is tracked, and refunds have honest rules.

  5. Step 05

    05

    Confirmed and coordinated

Your booking is locked in and the provider is officially on your day. Message them inside the app, share updates, and keep the whole brief in one place.

  6. Step 06

    06

    Pay the balance before delivery

A gentle reminder before the balance is due — with the exact amount, the deposit already paid, and the total, restated. Never a surprise at the door.

  7. Step 07

    07

    The day itself, delivered

Your provider does the work they promised. Where deliverables come after — an edited film, a gallery — you’ll see the turnaround they committed to.

  8. Step 08

    08

    Review honestly

Once the deliverable lands, leave a review — good, honest, or hard. Reviews shape the marketplace, and every provider sees theirs with a chance to respond.

Common questions

Everything people ask before booking a provider.

If it’s not here, write to us at [email protected] — we answer within a business day.

08 questions

01What exactly are the grades — standard, premium, luxury, bespoke?

Every provider publishes offerings across up to four grades. Standard is a proud, professional core offering. Premium adds extended coverage or a deeper team. Luxury is a fuller production with white-glove care. Bespoke is designed from a blank page to your specific vision. Each grade shows exactly what’s included — hours, team size, deliverables — so you can compare like-for-like across providers.

02How does pricing work — is it fixed or a quote?

Some grades come with a fixed marketplace price; others (especially luxury and bespoke) come back as a custom quote — usually within two business days of your enquiry. Either way, the full price is shown honestly before you commit any money, with no hidden fees added at the end.

03How do deposits and balance payments work?

A deposit — typically thirty percent — secures the date on the provider’s calendar. The remaining balance is held until closer to the event. You’ll see the exact amounts, due dates, and what’s already paid at every stage. Every cent is tracked on a proper ledger, so the numbers always add up.

04What happens if something goes wrong — is there a dispute path?

Yes. Every booking has a clear dispute path — you raise it inside the app, a real human on our team reviews it, and both sides get to respond. Where the outcome calls for a refund, partial refund, or replacement provider, we hold funds until it’s resolved. This is a trust surface, and we treat it as one.

05Can I attach a provider to an event I’m already planning?

Yes — that’s a big part of why LoveSync exists. If you already have an event on your calendar or a gift being planned by our team, you can attach any provider to it. The brief, dates, and guest count flow through, and you coordinate the whole day from one conversation inside the app.

06What does the verified badge actually mean?

A verified badge means the provider has submitted a portfolio we’ve reviewed, references we’ve checked, licences or permits where relevant, and passed our vetting call. Verification is re-checked each year — a badge isn’t forever, it’s current.

07Do I have to be a member to book a provider?

No — the services marketplace is open to anyone. Members get small perks like priority quotes on some grades and access to member-only providers, but the core marketplace is available whether you’re a member or not.

08How does LoveSync make money on services?

LoveSync takes a small commission on each booking, shown transparently in the provider’s pricing. You never pay a hidden platform fee — the price you see is the price you pay, and providers know exactly what LoveSync’s share is.
