Stories

The small moments that changed everything.

Fragments from members, shared with permission. Names withheld — the whole point is honesty. Below them, a few letters from the team on how we’re thinking.

Members, in their own words

The moments that made the practice worth it.

Community
I told the community something I’d never told anyone. Within an hour, three people had replied — and one of them was a counsellor. I cried. It was the first time in months I felt less alone.

Live Q&A
The live Q&A on repair after betrayal changed how my husband and I talk. We didn’t book a session yet — just the workshop was enough to shift something.

Counselling
I’m in a cross-cultural marriage. Finding a counsellor who understood both sides used to feel impossible. LoveSync matched me in three days.

Learn
The daily prompt asked me what I’d done that week that made him feel loved. I couldn’t think of one. That question started a whole different marriage.

Family session
My mother-in-law and I finally spoke about boundaries. A family session with a counsellor who understood both cultures made all the difference.

Sweet words
I sent my partner a sweet-words letter for our anniversary. It arrived on the day. She sent me a voice note back at 3 a.m. crying. Worth every cent.

Letter 01 · What we mean by "a home for love"

Love is a practice. We’re here for the whole of it.

From the team

Most apps treat love as a side feature — a swipe here, a quote graphic there. We treat love as the whole point. LoveSync is a home for love — one place where anyone who loves, or wants to love better, can learn, get help, celebrate, shop, and grow.

That means the person who signs up when they’re single, curious, and healing finds the same home a year later when they’re engaged and planning. And the couple who joins to plan a wedding is still here two years later, working through the honest questions of marriage. Same home, different rooms.

It’s a bigger promise than most software makes. And it’s the reason we’ve spent nearly a decade preparing to make it well.

Letter 02 · Why the counsellor is inside the app

The session room is ours, and that matters.

From the team

There’s a whole industry of "we’ll send you a Zoom link" therapy. LoveSync doesn’t. Our session room is in-house — encrypted end-to-end in transit, with clear consent for anything recorded, and controls that match how a real conversation works.

The reason is simple. Sensitive conversations deserve a room designed for the moment, not the leftover of a corporate meeting tool. Consent is asked plainly. Chat, voice, and video sit next to each other. The counsellor can raise a safeguarding flag from the same interface if something surfaces.

We built the room ourselves so the care could feel as considered as the counselling.

Letter 03 · Practitioner-led, not engagement-led

We’d rather you closed the app than scrolled forever.

From the team

Most platforms optimise for time-on-app. LoveSync doesn’t. Every article we publish is written or reviewed by a licensed practitioner. Every live session is hosted by one. Every product decision runs through the question — does this help someone love better, or just help them scroll longer?

The answer decides whether we ship. It’s why we don’t have infinite scroll, algorithmic hooks, or artificial urgency. It’s why notifications respect quiet hours. It’s why the community feels different — the incentive is to help, not to perform.

This is the only sustainable way to build something that touches something as tender as love.
